What is a Stop-Loss Order?

什麼是停損單？

A stop-loss order is an order that is intended to take you out of a trade when price moves opposite to the expectation. While usually intended to limit losses, stops can also be used to protect profitable positions as well. A sell stop protects a long position and is placed below the current market price, and a buy stop protects short positions and is placed above the current market price.

停損單是一種在價格和預期呈反向變動時，可以讓您退出交易的一種委託單。雖然停損通常是用來限制損失，但是也可以用來保護獲利部位。賣出停損可以保護長期部位，其停損價格會低於目前的市價，而買入停損可以保護短期部位，其停損價格會高於目前的市價。
