Gold is considered a safe-haven asset as throughout history it has been viewed as a store of value. It is essentially a currency that cannot be manipulated by the interest rate policies of any one government, and has traditionally been used as a hedge against inflation.

顛覆大家的刻板印象：SSD 是否比傳統硬碟可靠？
這篇文章的內容節錄自 Tom's Hardware 網站上的《調查：你的 SSD 是否比 (傳統) 硬碟可靠？(Investigation: Is Your SSD More Reliable Than A Hard Drive?)》這篇文章。但因為我最近的工作量太大，沒時間翻譯整篇文章，只能翻譯部分的內容供大家參考。
SSD 小知識：
1. MTBF 不是要告訴你 SSD 有多可靠。
2. SSD 的年度故障率 (AFR) 比製造商宣稱的數字還要高。
3. SSD 從開始使用起算的一年內，故障率「沒有」增加的趨勢 (也就俗稱的「人品不好」，SSD 要壞掉，剛買來就會壞掉)。故障率會隨著使用年數穩定增加。
4. 對於即將發生的故障偵測，SMART 不是一種可靠的警告系統。
5. 「企業」級與「消費」級 SSD 的故障率非常非常接近。
6. 陣列中的某個磁碟機故障，會提高另一個磁碟機故障的可能性。
7. 溫度對 SSD 故障率的影響微乎其微。
換句話說：
1. 想知道自己的 SSD 可不可靠，看老天要不要託夢告訴你。
2. 買 SSD 還是挑大品牌、保固好的廠商。
3. 7 天內換新僅適用於籤王。開始使用的一年之後，請勤勞點，記得按時備份資料。
4. SSD 效能變差，測試軟體的數據不見得能告訴你實際情況，直接送修換顆新的回來比較實際。
5. 即使廠商宣稱企業級的產品比較可靠，但你還是不需要花大錢買企業級的 SSD，因為實際情況和廠商的說法有所出入。
6. 組陣列 (RAID) 有保庇？省省吧，直接拿顆傳統硬碟備份資料，經濟又實惠。
7. SSD 不需要特別準備散熱系統，可以省下一筆購買風扇的費用。

Volatility is a measure for variation of price of a financial instrument over time. Historic volatility is derived from time series of past market prices.
波動率是一種衡量金融工具的價格隨著時間經過的變動方式。歷史波動率則是來自過去市場價格時間數列。
Put simply, volatility refers to the amount of uncertainty or risk about the size of changes in a security's value. A higher volatility means that a security's value can potentially be spread out over a larger range of values. This means that the price of the security can change dramatically over a short time period in either direction. A lower volatility means that a security's value does not fluctuate dramatically, but changes in value at a steady pace over a period of time.
簡而言之，波動率是指證券價值變動大小的不確定性或風險量。波動率較高，代表證券價值的變動範圍可能會比較大。這表示證券價格可以在短時間內上下劇烈變化。而波動率較低，代表證券價值不會大幅變動，但經過一段時間之後，這個價值會以穩定的速度變化。

For example, the interest rate in Australia is currently paying 4.75%, and the rate in the US is 0.25%. Where would you prefer to keep your money, all other things being equal?
